Glass gel №2 is a light-curing polymer material for strengthening and extending nails. Its stained-glass effect allows for the creation of a transparent, colored coating with depth and a glass-like effect.
The color intensity can be varied depending on the layer thickness: in a thin layer, it creates the effect of a transparent color veil; in a thickness of up to 2 mm, the color is more pronounced, but retains a transparent glass effect.
Advantages:
- A Rubber Base underlay is required.
- The thickness of the free edge must be at least 1 mm.
- Preliminary fixation with a flashlight - 10-15 seconds depending on the power.
- The recommended wavelength for polymerization is 365–405 nm.
- Recommended UV/LED lamp power: 36–48 W.
- The maximum thickness of the material in one stage of polymerization is up to 2 mm.
- Full polymerization – 120 seconds.
- If the material thickness is more than 3 mm, we recommend working in two stages with intermediate polymerization.
Technical specifications:
- It is acid-free.
- It has a medium consistency, closer to lower.
- It is not viscous and is easy to apply with a brush.
- Self-leveling properties are good.
- Distribute evenly over the surface of the nail plate.
- Does not leak during operation.
- The light consistency reduces the risk of air bubbles forming during application.
- Suitable for strengthening the nail plate.
- Suitable for the no-filing extension technique.
- Suitable for building up upper forms.
- It has shock absorption and does not crack when struck.
- In the cold it becomes thicker, and in the warmth it becomes thinner.
- You can reheat it further to make the consistency thinner.
- Does not cause severe burning in the lamp.
Recommendations for use:
- We remove the preliminary coating.
- We shorten the length of the nail to 1 mm and give it a round shape.
- Using a 220 grit file, dust the nail without applying much pressure, lifting the scales of the nail plate, or use a 100 grit buff.
- We do a manicure.
- If we work with removers, we wash our hands with soap after working with them.
- Degrease your nails with Nail Prep LUNAmoon in two stages. Use four wipes: one wipe per five fingers. First stage: wipe the nail surface. Second stage: place the wipe on an orange stick and thoroughly wipe the cuticle and sinus area.
- We use LUNAmoon primer.
- The LUNAmoon Rubber Base liner is best applied with a flat gel brush using a rubbing motion. Apply it to all the nail grooves and cure under the lamp for 60 seconds.
- Remove the sticky layer.
- We install a form for extending the free edge of the nail.
- We lay out the Glass Gel artificial nail form. First, cure it in the lamp for 30 seconds.
- We file the free edge and give the nail the desired shape.
- Remove the sticky layer and clean off the dust.
- Reapply LUNAmoon Rubber Base to the sawed areas. Let dry for 60 seconds.
- We level the Glass Gel, place it in the lamp, and clamp it for 10-15 seconds. If the material is more sticky, clamp it for 20 seconds.
- Dry in the lamp for 120 seconds.
- We remove the sticky layer before applying gel polish.
- If necessary, cover with gel polish.
- Apply a non-sticky top coat. Dry for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after drying to maintain shine.
